Trojans Reaching to Achieve EXcellence is a program that empowers local students to explore opportunities and resources as they pursue their unique journeys and build a brighter tomorrow. Initiatives include Adopt-a-College Student, High School Heroes, TRAX Mentors and Professional Lunch.
The mission of SPARK (Supporting Passionate and Resourceful Knowledge-Builders) is to encourage, empower, and celebrate the teachers and staff of Alleghany County Schools through resources, recognition, and collaborative opportunities. By investing in those who guide and shape our students, SPARK strengthens both our schools and our community, ensuring a lasting impact on future generations. Initiatives include mini-grants & special projects.
The Leadership Grant for Access & Participation helps Alleghany County students participate in competitions and leadership activities that can not be funded by Alleghany County Schools. The L-GAP provides financial assistance to support school-sponsored academic teams, clubs, and student organizations within Alleghany County Schools.
The Growing, Retaining, Empowering Alleghany Teachers Grant was established to help retain educational professionals while fostering a culture of growth, longevity and leadership. The GREAT Grant assists Alleghany County Schools & Blue Ridge Developmental Day employees with the cost of National Board Certification, Master’s Degrees in Education, and pre-service teacher credentials.
